The settings menu provides options to adjust audio volume, scent intensity and per user customizations to accommodate personalization of the experience as required. Below we will show you how to access the settings menu and what each menu option does in depth. To open the settings menu first expand the floating bubble menu by passing your hand through the bubble titled Menu. There you will see a bubble titled "Open Settings Menu" which will open the Settings Menu and make a chime at the location of the settings menu. If it says "Close Settings Menu" that means the "Settings Menu" is already open. The location of the menu itself varies from environment to environment but can be found nearby, facing you from the default location in which you appear in a given environment.
In the Gallery for example, the Settings Menu will always appear at the location indicated in the picture above. In the picture above you can see options for...

The settings menu has settings for tweaking the Audio Volume, Scent (or odor) Intensity and player unique settings.
Audio settings page has sliders to adjust the volume for master, voice and ambient sounds. Master: will adjust both voice and ambient sound effect volumes. Voice: will adjust the meditation track and any other human voices you would hear. Ambient: adjust the volume for environment background noises like waves, birds, wind and any other non-human voices. By default when listening to a meditation track, the ambient volume temporarily decrease to bring the attention onto the voice speaking but this can be tweaked again by stopping the meditation track or adjusting the sliders shown in the image above. To adjust a slider use the trigger on your controller to drag left or right the gray bar filling it in or emptying it out, the percent indicator will change to indicate the new set volume. All sliders in the settings menu work the same way but the units may change depending on the context of the slider.
Much like the audio volume this scent Intensity page provides sliders to decrease the intensity of a scent being produced by the ION (but never goes above the ION hardware's max threshold). The master effectively adjust all the odors at once, but each odor can be adjusted individually as desired.
The scroll bar on the right can be click on and dragged using the trigger on your controller to see the rest of the odors to adjust.
The "Player" page contains sliders and toggles to adjust the general experience of the INHALE app. 1. Player Reach: Changes how far away certain objects are. (Units in Inches) 2. Player Height: Changes how high certain objects are. (Units in Inches) 3. Reset VR Origin: Will re-orient your virtual world forward direction with the real worlds forward direction. 4. Enable Intro Tutorial: When enabled the intro tutorial will play once connected to an ION device other wise it will not play. 5. Enable Meditation AutoStart: When enabled the meditation track will play when entering a new environment, otherwise it will not start unless manually triggered via the floating bubble.
Back button: Whenever you select the back button it will take you back to the previous page.
The INHALE app will attempt to auto connect to an ION device if at least once ION device is turned on and near by. If none are found within a few seconds from app start you will get a prompt asking you if you would like to use the INHALE app without an ION.
If multiple ION are found, the Menu will list them and offer you ability to select the one you want.
If you have previously connected to an ION Device with this headset the INHALE app will remember it and ask you if you would like to connect to the last device you connected with previously.
If for some reason you turn one on later and need to manually connect the "Scan for IONs" button will manually trigger the ability to auto connect to a single ION or list multiple IONs should multiple IONs be found.
For more detailed instructions on manually connecting your ION device(s) see the Pairing an ION Device Page
The Controller section will help you get acquainted with the layout of your controller.
The about page contains a link to the OVR website as well as a short description containing info on OVR.
As you pick up Totems they will follow you around as you teleport and transition between environments. If for some reason you would like the Totems to stop following you, you can select "Return Totems" to return them to their respective original locations. If you change your mind you can pick them up once again as you did originally.
